Xmas Factor

Week 1 Finalists .....

Holly Withington and Summer Mansell got through to the final with there outstanding performance this week.  Holly from  Whitworth High School performed Alexandra Burke's latest release Hallelujah.  Summer Mansell from Hollingworth High School performed a cappella, Summer sang a variety of verses form the latest chart songs and performed this exceptionally well.

Week 2 Finalists ....

 Rachel Brierley from Bury C of E, got through to this week's final with her outstanding performance of Alanis Morissette - Ironic.

Week 3 Finalists....

As the final is getting closer, we have our fourth finalist. Sian Jones from Bury College performed Glitterin the Air by Pink.  She performed very well and has had many comments on her outstanding voice.

We had a huge crowd who come to watch the contestants.  It was a difficult decision as there were some really good performances.

I would like to thank everyone who has entered this years competition.  If you never got through to this year's final please enter next year as it is going to be bigger and better than this years.

The final will be held on the 17 December.  Please come down and see who has got the Xmas Factor 2009.

Final ....

Last night 17 december 2009 was the Xmas Factor final.  As crowds gathered the contestants nerves started to array.

There was a crowd of at least 200 people who come to support their family and friends, this gave a lovely festive atmosphere.

The finalist were to sing two songs one being a song of their choice the second being a Christmas song.

The finalist chosen songs were as follows:

1) Holly Withington performed Hallelujah by Alexandra Burke and Last Christmas by Wham.

2) Summer Mansell performed Working 9 till 5 by Dolly Parton and Rocking Round The Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee.

3)Rachel Brierley performed Hero by Mariah Carey and The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole.

4)Sian Jones performed Mercy by Duffy and Christmas Must be Something More by Taylor Swift.

All the contestants gave a phenomenal performace. After a heated discussion, the judges come to decison of the following:

Winner - Holly Withington from Whitworth High School

2nd place - Rachel Brierley from Bury C of E

3rd place - Sian Jones from Bury College

4th place - Summer Mansell from Hollingworth High School

I would like to thank every one that entered the competition, also every one who come and supported the Xmas Factor.

If you never won this year enter next year!!! as the competiton will be bigger and better than ever.
