The Wheatsheaf - News

The 26th June was finally here seemed so far away at the time when we signed up.  Now the journey had to begin after months of sponsorship there was no going back.

We had raised money for MedEquipforkids, a local charity that exsists to improve the health of children in the North west of England providing equipment and facilities to aid recovery and prevent illness and injury and to date has raised over £8million in its 25 year history -  in total we rasied over £1600 for the charity, and truly earned every pound over this arduous trip!

A total of 57 teams entered, with only 38 completing the course -  so it was a proven soul-crushing event for most, even the hardened trekkers let alone the amateurs like us!!

In total we walked over 90 miles between this was a great achievement and although the 50 miles challenge beat us over all,  it has made us realise it will not do next year as our determination is raging to go for next year and we WILL be the Nemesis known as the Megahike.
